For Practitioners

For Therapists and Coaches

Coppermine tools are structured self-reflection exercises. If you work with clients in career transitions, burnout, or questions of identity and meaning, you are welcome to share them.

What the tools are. Short guided reflections built by Allison Yost, PhD, an organizational psychologist. Each draws on established psychological constructs and ends with a personal artifact the client keeps: a portrait, a map, a page of their own words. Most take five to fifteen minutes.

What they are not. They are not assessments or diagnostic instruments. There are no scores, no norms, and no clinical claims. They are not therapy, and they are not a substitute for your work with your client. Think of them as good homework.

Privacy. No account is required. Two of the tools, Stress Alchemy and the Emotion Map, save nothing: the reflection stays in the browser and is gone when the client closes the tab. Inner Portrait works differently. To write its report and email it to the client, it stores their responses and email address, used only to generate and send that report.

How to share. Send a link to a specific tool, or to the full collection at /reflection-tools. Clients will not hit a paywall or a sales pitch at the end of a reflection.
